Chinese giant salamander

photo

The giant Chinese salamander is the largest salamander in the world, it can grow up to 1.8 meters long and is fully aquatic though  it has no gills. it can be a ranger of colours from a dark brown/black to a greenish colour. the Chinese salamander is suffering from a loss of habitat and is being hunted for its flesh because it is considered to be a delicacy. their eyesight is terrible so they rely on sensing the vibrations in the water to locate their prey. they like to eat frogs and other smaller animals.
